Dunia Blanco, PA-C

I was born and raised in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Early in life, I discovered my one true passion that would forever impact my life and career: a need to help others.  I pursued my education in medicine and graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras in 1999.

My decision to expand my studies prompted me to immigrate to the United States permanently. During my first years in the country, I worked many positions while acclimating to the new culture and language. Nevertheless, I persevered and enrolled in Miami Dade College and graduated with honors with several degrees: Associates in Science, Associate-in Arts and Bachelors of Science Physician Assistant in 2013. I began my work as a licensed pediatric physician assistant at Healthy Children A Place for Kids (Miami, FL) from 2013 -2018 where I fell in love with caring for children. In January of 2018, I accepted a new opportunity with Heartland Pediatrics of Lake Placid.  My strong drive pushed me to complete a graduate program at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, I earned my Master of Science Physician Assistant. Faced with many obstacles and hardships throughout life, I’ve always remembered my passion and love for helping others.
